Community Initiatives for April by Good People!

At the Good People Group, we prioritize helping buyer and sellers as well as giving back to the community. We are focussing on food sustainablilty and affordable housing right now. This month we have taken on helping the One Straw Society that does such great work helping everyone from farmers to those needing some healthy food for their families. Our project this month is to make part of One Straw’s tiny farm accessible. This means leveling and seeding a field where they work, gather, hold longtable fundraising dinners and relax, so that everyone can enjoy their farm. We are so pleased that we have been able to help this come together, with our own financial contributions and getting volunteer work crews to get down and dirty doing the prep work. We have to give a huge shout out to community heroes Salish Soils and Sunshine Coast Hydroseeding for their generous donations to this project as well.
